Our rooms

In our hotel there are 94 guest rooms and the bathrooms have showers and hairdryers. The facility is completely non-smoking, but dogs are welcome in special rooms for an additional cleaning fee. Children under 11 stay for free as long as they do not require an extra bed. An extra bed costs 250 SEK / night. Guestrooms also feature flat-panel televisions with cable channels, blackout drapes / curtains, and irons / ironing boards. The rooms are cleaned daily.

If you come by car, you can park it in our garage. There is usually room, but if you want to be sure to park with us, you can call and book. The spaces cost 150 SEK a day and your car will be warm and safe.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer electric car charging at the hotel, but there are 24 charging stations in and around Luleå, so there shouldn’t be any problem charging your car.

Times to keep an eye on

Check-in begins at 15:00

Check-in takes place at Arctic Luleå Hotel from 15:00.

If you want to come earlier, we would be happy to take care of your luggage so you can stroll around and experience Luleå while you wait. We can give you a few tips on different activities if you would rather go for a boat trip, visit the church town or run a round on the trail and experience the natural scenery of Luleå.

Check out by 12:00 noon latest

We like so much about having you as a guest but must we part ways, so we ask you to check out before 12:00 noon. Remember to take a last round in the room so you do not forget anything. We will take care of the cleaning and bedding.

Our breakfast buffet contains many organic options and local produce. We also have lactose-free and gluten-free options for those who want them. If there is anything special you would like, then talk to our friendly receptionists. We usually manage to meet most people’s requirements and requests.

If you need to leave early we can arrange to have a breakfast package for you. You do not have to miss out on our hotel breakfast just because you’re an early riser!

During the weekend we have extra long breakfast hours so you can either stay in bed late or just have a really long breakfast.

Breakfast is served

• Monday – Friday: 06:30 – 09:00

• Saturday: 07:00 – 11:00

• Sunday: 07:00 – 12:00

There is a lot to do in Luleå and the surroundings. And there is something for everyone.

A boat trip in the archipelago

For those who want peace and quiet there are boat trips in our archipelago and there is also the appreciated swimming baths on the island Klubbviken.

Northern Lights all year round

Furthermore, you can go on a polar skiing safari. There are the northern lights, Aurora borealis, and the southern lights, Aurora Australis; these phenomena are commonly known as the Polar Skies. Polar lights occur during both summer and winter, but it is clearly easier to see them in the darker months. SMHI calls the polar ray “a phenomenon formed by particulate radiation from the sun, which in contact with the Earth’s atmosphere initiates electromagnetic radiation (light)”. We just call it “amazingly beautiful”.

Huskies and dog teams

If you want more speed, we recommend dog sledding or icebreaker tours. Travelling by dog sledding is a bit like travelling by scooter. But a scooter that pulses with life, joy and willingness to just drag and drag and pull. And when the driver gives command they act as one, and with what speed! It’s like nothing else when you’re snuggled up warm but can feel the freezing cold against your cheek, to feel each husky’s powerful muscles working and to hear them yip with joy. A real life experience.

Icebreakers are looking for sailors

If you want to go on a really cold and cool adventure, then you should go on an icebreaker. For two hours you will join a crew that will be breaking up the ice to allow smaller boats to pass through. The kingdom of the Icebreakers is the place of ice and cold, and it is about dealing with this environment with humility. It is not something for weaklings to enter into, this battle against Jack Frost’s armies. But everyone can come along. At Arctic Explorer, large, small, young and old are all welcome along for the ride.

You can also try to swim if you want, of course, with a survival suit. Children from seven years old and up (even adults) may try to swim in the icy, dark waters.

Lobby Shop

Buy a souvenir to take with you in our shop. The lobby shop is open every day, around the clock.
